Virtual Museum of the Spanish Civil War

The Virtual Museum of the Spanish Civil War (vscw.ca) is the first museum dedicated exclusively to the 1936-1939 conflict. Launched in September 2022 by an international team of scholars, the museum offers a comprehensive digital platform to explore the war's multifaceted history. Visitors can access diverse galleries covering topics such as the war's outbreak, international context, home fronts, regional impacts in Catalonia and the Basque Country, and global repercussions. The museum also features an Open Gallery, inviting public contributions of personal artifacts and stories. Available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and French, the platform aims to engage a global audience in reflecting on this pivotal event.
