Biography

Stuart Michael McManus is Scholar of Renaissance Law and Letters at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. McManus is a scholar of Renaissance law and letters in global context. He also has interests in the history of classical scholarship, Chinese humanities and the application of digital tools to historical research, in particular the nascent field of Cross-Cultural Analytics. Their interests include intercultural and interreligious exchange, colonialism, empire, and decolonization, legal and inquisitorial history, religious and intellectual history, identity, race, and ethnicity in historical contexts.
